This is one of the best hotels in Galway and I've stayed nearly in ever one of them over the years. Attended a wedding in Oct and loved it so much returned in Jan. We stayed after New Year with 3 children. We got a fantastic rate which included dinner. Hotel staff couldnt do enough. My kids loved the pool which is supervised. The receptionists were very friendly as were all the staff. The family room was massive as are most of the rooms. The local bus to the city is straight outside hotel. Bar food was also excellent.

We had a great time here - the hotel is quite new & thoughtfully decorated - a touch of class. Breakfast was excellent even if we did have to wait as the diningroom was full at 10.20am (they serve till 10.30am). We rang the hotel to see if they could better their advertised rate & they did!!
Room was beautiful - ask to be situated away from the ballroom/function room - we were and a 250+ wedding didn't cause us to lose a wink of sleep. One other great point - they had a lifeguard on duty at all times albeit dressed in day clothes. Pool is not deep -perhaps a touch cool but nothing to be concerned about. You'ld want to factor in a €10 each way for a taxi into the city centre as Ballybrit is a bit out of galway - however there is a big Retail park opposite the hotel but it specialises in home decor shops - tiles / kitchens etc,
