Where exactly is Clayton Hotel Galway in Galway city centre?

Clayton Hotel Galway is located in Ballybrit about a ten-minute drive from Galway city centre. It’s easy to get to the city with the 401 bus running to Eyre Square from the hotel every 20 minutes.

How far is Clayton Hotel Galway from Galway Train Station?

Clayton Hotel Galway is about a ten-minute drive from Galway Train Station (Ceannt). We’d recommend either taking a taxi or the 401 bus which stops just outside the hotel.

How far is Clayton Hotel Galway from Shannon Airport?

We’re located under an hours drive from Shannon Airport. Follow the M18 to Galway until you reach junction 18. Here, take the M6/N6 towards Galway. Proceed along this road until you reach the Coolagh roundabout. Take the 2nd exit from this roundabout and proceed to the traffic light junction. Take a left here and the hotel entrance will be on the right. If you’re using public transport, the 51 bus will take you to Galway city centre from Shannon Airport.

Is there car parking at the hotel?

Yes, we have plenty of parking here at Clayton Hotel Galway around the hotel and underground.

Check-in time is 4pm.

What time is check out?

Check-out time: 11.00am.

Can I check in early?

We cannot guarantee an early check-in. Please give us a call on 091 721 900 prior to your stay and we will do our best to help out.

Can I check out late?

Our beds are so comfy – we wouldn’t blame you! You can book a late check out when you reserve your room directly on our website or by calling us on 091 721 900.

Can I store my luggage?

Of course – you can store your luggage free of charge at Reception.

Monday – Friday 7.00am – 10.30am

Saturday – Sunday 7:00am – 11:00am

Are there any direct booking fees?

There is no booking fee when booking here on our official website.

What happens if I don’t turn up for my booking?

If you don’t arrive at the hotel, the first night’s room rate will be charged in full. If you know you are not going to be able to attend, please call us on 091 721 900 before 2.00pm the day prior to arrival. We advise all guests to be aware of the specific terms and conditions of the package when booking.

Is there WiFi in the hotel?

Complimentary high-speed WiFi connection is provided throughout the hotel.

Is there a gym or swimming pool in the hotel?

We have a three lane 20m swimming pool and fitness suite which can be used by all in-house guests.

Can we get a cot in our room?

Cots are supplied free of charge, just give us a call on 091 721 900 to arrange this prior to arrival.

Do you have hair dryers in the room?

All of our rooms have pretty much everything you will need for stay – complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and tea and coffee making facilities. If there is anything you cannot find, please ring Reception and we will be more than happy to help.

Do you have accessible rooms?

We do have fully accessible rooms. All of our accessible rooms have one double bed only. To reserve one of these, please contact our Reservations Team on +353(0)91 721 900

Are there any Smoking Rooms available?

We have a strict no smoking policy in all of our guestrooms but we do have an outdoor area available to all guests.

Do you have adjoining rooms?

We do have a number of adjoining rooms. If you would like to reserve these, please contact our Reservations Team on 091 721 900

What late-night food options are available?

We have a late-night room service menu that is available 24/7.

Are there meeting rooms or conference facilities?

We have newly refurbished, state-of-the-art meeting rooms. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning and high tech AV systems. We also have a ballroom area for larger conferences.

Do you offer a laundry service?

Yes, we have a laundry service operating Monday to Saturday excluding bank holidays. If we have the laundry before 8 am we will have it back by 6 pm each day and it is individually priced per clothing item.

Do you offer day trips?

Yes we can get you booked in on a private or group tour. Just ask as reception at check-in.

Do you offer currency exchange?

We don’t offer currency exchange in the hotel but you can get your currency exchanged in the airport, all major banks and the post office.
