The Galway Continental Christmas Market is making a return to the City of The Tribes once again this year. It commences at 6pm on Friday, 17th November and is open up until Friday, 22nd December 2017.
The Christmas market is in its eight year in Galway and visitors can expect to enjoy a wide variety of entertainment and stalls located in Eyre Square in Galway City centre. Why not get in a spot of shopping in some of Galways finest shop and department stores during your visit.
This year, the Galway Continental Christmas Market will also feature amusement rides including a Big Wheel, Helter Skelter and traditional Carousel along with live music performers, puppet shows, storytelling, school choirs and carol singing together with charity and community events.
The famous Santa’s Grotto will be run by local charities and the popular Bier Keller will be playing host to various events throughout the market’s duration.
Food lovers can feast on a bratwurst, French pastries, pretzels or confectionery, crêpes and waffles, while beer lovers can sample a stein at the German Bierkeller, offering a range of traditional German beers, apple cider and mulled wine.
The 2017 Market will also feature artisan food products and Christmas gift ideas from both local and European traders.
