Galway Continental Christmas Market

The Galway Continental Christmas Market is making a return to the City of The Tribes once again this year. It commences at 6pm on Friday, 16th November and is open up until Saturday, 22nd December 2018.

Christmas Market on Eyre Square

The Christmas market is in its eighth year in Galway and visitors can expect to enjoy a wide variety of entertainment and stalls located in Eyre Square in Galway City centre. Why not get in a spot of shopping in some of Galway’s finest shop and department stores during your visit.

Entertainment at the Christmas Market

This year, the Galway Continental Christmas Market will also feature amusement rides including a Big Wheel, Helter Skelter and traditional Carousel along with live music performers, puppet shows, storytelling, school choirs and carol singing together with charity and community events.

Santa’s Grotto in Galway

The famous Santa’s Grotto will be run by local charities and the popular Bier Keller will be playing host to various events throughout the market’s duration.

Christmas Market Food

Food lovers can feast on a bratwurst, French pastries, pretzels or confectionery, crêpes and waffles, while beer lovers can sample a stein at the German Bierkeller, offering a range of traditional German beers, apple cider and mulled wine.

The 2018 Market will also feature artisan food products and Christmas gift ideas from both local and European traders.
