Vodafone Comedy Carnival Festival Galway 2017

Clayton Hotel Galway are proud partners of the Vodafone Comedy Carnival Festival once again this year.

As partners of the Festival in 2016, the hotel attracted a large influx of comedy fanatics and expects the same to happen in 2017. Vodafone Comedy Carnival has been running since 2005, 12 years on, it is still attracting the biggest Irish and International names in comedy to Galway. The Carnival is host to comics, improve shows, theatre, mime, table quizzes, hip hop music and even beat boxing. In the past, names such as Tommy Tiernan, Ardal O’Hanlan, Des Bishop, Rubberbandits, Rich Hall, Andrew Maxwell, Beardyman, PJ Gallagher, Al Porter and many more have graced the stages providing both comedy and alternative entertainment.

The comedy festival runs for seven consecutive days. Starting 24th October and running until 30th October. During which many local pubs and theatres join forces to create the stage for Irelands leading comedy festival. Venues include – Roisin Dubh, The Town Hall Theatre, Blackbox, The Kings Head and many more. For any individuals who do not feel like sitting indoors during the festival, there are many pop up stages available throughout the streets of the city, both during the day and in the evening. With several shows taking place each day, one can be sure to find a host of varied entertainment for all the family.
